Features
Everything you need to stay ahead of every renewal
Built specifically for specialty trade contractors — not a generic credential tracker.
The compliance status of your entire crew. At a glance.
The moment you log in, you see who's current (green), who needs attention (yellow — 30–89 days), and who's at risk (red — under 30 days). Sortable by urgency. Filterable by trade type, state, or individual technician. No digging through a spreadsheet to find out who renews next month.
Alerts at 90, 60, 30, 14, and 7 days. Email and SMS.
Configure email reminders at every interval that matters. SMS alerts on Professional tier and above — for when you're on a job site, not at a desk. Set alert recipients to yourself, your managers, your technicians, or all three. The system sends; you act. No more relying on a calendar entry someone set once and forgot.
Never get to renewal time to discover you're 6 hours short.
Log CE course completions directly against the license that needs the hours. Course name, provider, hours, completion date — one entry per course. The progress bar shows hours logged versus hours required for the current renewal cycle. On Business tier and above, required hours are auto-populated from the state requirement library so you never have to look them up manually.
Every state. Every trade type. Always up to date.
Look up CE hours required, bond amounts, renewal fees, exam prerequisites, renewal cycle length, and licensing authority contact for any state and trade type in seconds. Manually curated from government licensing board sources (CA CSLB, TX TDLR, FL DBPR, NASCLA Directory, and all 50 state boards). Quarterly-refreshed with a last-updated timestamp visible on every entry. If a state/trade combination isn't yet populated, we say so — we never show a blank field that could be misread as “no requirement.”
Your license certificates. Where you need them.
Upload the PDF or image of every license certificate and attach it to the license record. When the GC asks for proof of licensed workforce, you're not texting three technicians asking them to forward their wallet cards. Your Admin and Manager can download a signed URL — no public links, no guessing if the file is still where you left it.
One click. A compliance report the GC will accept.
Export your entire crew's license status as a CSV or branded PDF. The PDF shows your company name and logo alongside every technician's license type, state, expiry date, days remaining, and CE status. Submit it to a GC pre-qualification form, attach it to a bid package, or hand it to an inspector on a job site.
Already in a spreadsheet? Import in minutes.
Upload your existing Google Sheet or Excel file. The column mapping UI handles any format — you don't need to restructure your data first. For a 15-technician crew, the import takes under 5 minutes. Alert schedules auto-generate for every imported record.
The right access for the right person.
Admin sees everything including billing. Manager has full feature access — adds technicians, logs CE entries, exports reports — without touching billing or team settings. Analyst can create and edit but not delete. Viewer is read-only for executives who need visibility without accidentally changing anything.
Use case scenarios
Marcus, Owner-Operator, 12-Technician Electrical Firm
Marcus logs in every Monday morning, scans the compliance dashboard for red and yellow rows, and checks CE progress for technicians with renewals in the next 90 days. When a GC requests a licensed-workforce compliance report before a commercial job starts, he downloads the branded PDF in under two minutes. He used to spend 5–10 hours a month chasing this down manually — now it takes 10 minutes a week.
Sandra, Operations Manager, 35-Technician HVAC Firm (Two Locations)
Sandra filters the compliance dashboard by location to review Tampa and Orlando separately. She logs CE completions as technicians email her certificates, reviews auto-calculated CE progress against FL DBPR requirements, and exports the branded compliance PDF for every bid package. Before LicenseRoadmap, she managed two separate spreadsheets that were never quite in sync.
Multi-State Roofing Franchise
Lena, VP of Operations for a 55-technician roofing franchise operating in 6 states, logs in monthly before board meetings. She sorts the dashboard by days remaining to confirm no licenses are lapsed or at risk, downloads the compliance report for the enterprise GC file, and spots-checks the state library for any new state the franchise is entering.
